Peeps

Twilight is a great book, and I've read the series. But I just started a new book called Peeps. In the first chapter it was really confusing. This nineteen-year-old guy named Cal was hunting "peeps". At first I thought he was hunting a bird or something, and all these rats were following him into an abandoned building in NYC. He was looking for his ex-girfriend, Sarah. When he encountered her I realized that she was a peep. Apparently, Cal is a peep too, and he had turned Sarah into one. She was really violent. But she had been a regular human before they had met in college. At the end of the first chapter, he gave her a pill to knock her out and these people who brought peeps to a special facility came.

It turns out they were vampires, by a parasite called toxoplasma. But Cal could control his mind, unlike everyone he spread the parasite to.

So far I love this book. I stayed up until 11:45 reading it.
